Stain is a chemical reaction get in the glass during firing. The glass becomes coloured on the surface but remains transparent. The transmitted light is coloured.

Composition: Silver chloride and sulphide in red ochre.

Application: distilled water. Red ochre is removed after firing.

Firing: from 580°C and higher, according to the desired result.

Appearance: from light yellow to amber depending on the product used and the type of glass.
